REMINDER TO COMMUNITY re Fuel Tax Class Action

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to remind all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the deadline to submit a claim in the class action regarding fuel tax paid by registered Indians on reserve is Monday, July 8, 2013.

MCK offices will be closed July 8th due to a holiday but some hard copy claim forms will be available at the Kahnaw�:ke Post Office on a limited basis.

To submit a claim online please visit the COLLECTIVA CLASS ACTION SERVICES website at www.collectiva.ca to obtain claim forms and for exact and accurate information on necessary documents required to submit a claim.

Collectiva Class Action Services has been mandated by Superior Court to administer the claims of all registered Indians who are eligible for compensation. The MCK wishes to make it clear that this is in regard to the compensation from the settlement of the class action process only and not the �point of sale system�. This is not an MCK initiative.

Also note that this settlement is not related to the Kahnaw�:ke gas retailers case that is currently before the Quebec courts.
