Animal Protection Donation Campaign underway
07/22/2013
The Animal Protection Department would like to inform the community that it has officially launched a Donation Campaign to help offset operating costs of its Animal Shelter.
Every year hundreds of pets are cared for by the Kahnawą:ke Animal Protection Department - from food and shelter to vaccinations and sterilization. As with any shelter, community support is greatly appreciated and goes to improving the quality of animal care provided.
The Animal Protection Department cannot receive cash donations but there are interesting alternatives for those who wish to contribute:
Canadian Tire Money and Gift Cards to local area pet stores are being collected at the Community Protection building (old PK station).
A donation to the Timberlea Veterinary Clinic in Kirkland. Timberlea works closely with Kahnawą:ke Animal Protection, performing all tests, vaccines and sterilizations. An account has been setup especially for Kahnawą:ke Animal Protection.
Donate new or used Wish List items (animal car carriers or crates, collars or harnesses, treats, Kong brand chews toys, leashes, litter boxes and litter, steel food/water bowls, used blankets and towels, Kuranda dog beds or beds with removable covers, cones and e-collars). For each contribution a Paw Print Logo in your name will be placed on the Animal Protection Thank You Wall.
