Route 207 to be resurfaced

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to advise the Community of an upcoming project to improve safety on Route 207.  Route 207 will be resurfaced between Hwy 138 and Hwy 30. Work will begin on Monday August 19, 2013 and should be completed in five (5) weeks, weather permitting.

These works will be carried out at night to minimize inconveniences to our Community members, businesses and commuters.  Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30pm to 5:30am. The work will be undertaken in sections in an effort to localize and minimize any impacts. 

Route 207 will be open to traffic throughout the project. One lane will be maintained in the work zones to accommodate vehicle traffic in both directions. Proper signalization will be placed to ensure the safety of all road users. Escort vehicles will be leading the traffic through the work zone to ensure everyone�s safety.
