Rush Hour Truck Ban on Montreal Bound Mercier Bridge Extended One Week

The Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers will continue to enforce a ban on trucks implemented by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI). The ban on trucks has been extended by one week, and will be in effect during the morning rush hour on the Montreal bound Mercier Bridge.
JCCBI announced today that the work “Blitz” has been extended until 05:00 AM, Monday, August 19. As a result of this additional week of work, JCCBI will also extend the ban on trucks.
No trucks will be allowed to access the Montreal bound Mercier Bridge between 05:00 and 09:00, Monday through Friday August 16, 2013.
