Deadline Thursday as KLCC seeks Alternate Community Representative

The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) is reminding Kahnawakehró:non that this Thursday (15, Seskéha/ August) is the deadline for interested community members to submit Letters of Intent to serve as the Alternate Community Representative on the KLCC.
The Community Representative serves to represent the voice of the community and is independent of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke. The term is for two years.
Eligible persons must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a member on the Kahnawą:ke Kanien′kehį:ka Registry. Requirements for the position include attending two (2) meetings (approximately 1.5 hours) per month. The KLCC Community Representative will be remunerated accordingly.
Please send letters of intent to the attention of Kahente Horn-Miller, Coordinator, Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission at P.O. Box 720 Kahnawą:ke Mohawk Territory J0L1B0 or drop off at the main reception of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke. Letters of intent will be accepted until August 15, 2013 at 4pm.
The KLCC will make the selection of the Alternate Community Representative in Seskehkó:wa/September, at which time the community will be informed.
