Update re: Gas Tax Class Action Settlement payments

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke has received numerous requests for information regarding the payments from the Class Action Settlement on Fuel Tax Paid on Reserve announced earlier this year. 

Please note that this is NOT an MCK initiative. However, in the interest of ensuring that the community has the correct information, we would like to remind those who applied for the settlement that Collectiva, the company that is responsible to administer the monies, was mandated by the Court on 7, Ohiari�k�:wa/July to issue payment within 180 days of that date.

It is expected that payments should be issued by Tsothohrk�:wa/January 2014 at the latest. The MCK is urging community members who have questions to contact Collectiva directly at 514-287-1000 or by visiting their website, www.collectiva.ca .
