Community Decision Making Process survey results released
08/28/2013
The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that the results of the survey to gauge public awareness, knowledge and participation levels in the Community Decision Making Process is now available for public viewing.
The survey was launched in January of this year, though the majority was conducted by Orenda Boucher-Curotte during the past three months. The surveyors attempted to call every number in the 2012-2013 Kahnawà:ke Telephone Directory, with 390 people responding. For a telephone survey, this number is considered a very good reflection of the community.
“Now that we (the KLCC) have the report in hand, we will have the opportunity to discuss the issues in detail,” said Kahente Horn-Miller, the KLCC Coordinator. “We are also planning to officially present the results to Chief & Council in the near future.”
