Peacekeepers Investigate Early Morning Break-In

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers are investigating a break and enter that occurred this morning at a local sporting goods store on highway 132.
At approximately 02:55 this morning, the Peacekeepers received a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a local business.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered a pickup truck had been intentionally driven through the front security doors of “More Guns and Survival Gear.”
The truck used in the robbery was stolen from a local residence earlier this morning.
“The incident is currently under investigation, and the Peacekeepers requested the assistance of the Sûreté du Quebéc,” said Assistant Peacekeeper Chief Jody Diabo.
“An SQ crime scene technician was in the territory this morning, gathering evidence for our investigation,” added Diabo.
The business was equipped with a video surveillance system, which is being reviewed. The Peacekeepers are asking anyone with information to contact an investigator at (450) 632-6505 or report it anonymously with Crime Stoppers at (450) 632-2802.
No other details are being released at this time as the file remains under investigation.
