Animal Vaccination Clinic date announced
09/30/2013
The Animal Protection Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke is pleased to announce another Animal Vaccination Clinic to be held on Sunday, October 20th from 9am to 3pm at the Community Protection Unit building.
A registered veterinarian will be on-site providing check-up, vaccination and preventative services for cats and dogs. All fees are the responsibility of the pet owner but they will be significantly less than at a veterinarian office.
"We′ve had overwhelming response to our past clinics so we would advise pet owners to book their appointments early," said Deidra Whyte, Assistant Animal Protection Officer. We at Animal Protection take it as a positive sign because it shows people being responsible for their pets by having them vaccinated."
There have been confirmed cases of Lyme disease and Heartworm in Kahnawą:ke animals. Please help prevent the contraction of these diseases and protect your pets by vaccinating.
For further information or questions, please contact Deidra Whyte by telephone at (450) 632-0635.
