Chief Carl Horn issues apology/retraction

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Chief Carl Horn has recorded an apology/retraction to his fellow chiefs in regard to statements made during a recent local television interview.

The apology/retraction is available for viewing at www.kahnawake.com (the MCK�s website) and, additionally, will be broadcast on KTV at a later date. Chief Horn also indicated he would make a similar statement on Mohawk TV, where the original interview took place.

�Chief Horn has taken a step forward by informing the table that he would make an apology,� said Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hron Delisle, Jr. �His actions were disrespectful to his fellow chiefs and a disservice to the community. Hopefully, his apology will create an improved atmosphere of trust and accountability to the Council table and � more important � to Kahnawa�kehr�:non.�
