10/24/2013
The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke and the Ministère des transport du Quebec would like to notify the Community of an upcoming project to improve road safety on Route 132/138. The asphalt surface of Route 132/138 will be milled in an effort to decrease the depth of the ruts.
The work area is between the down ramps of the Mercier Bridge and Saint Francis Boulevard in Chateauguay. Work will begin on Wednesday, October 30th and should be completed in three (3) weeks, weather permitting.
These works will be carried out at night to minimize inconveniences to Community members, businesses and commuters. Working hours will be Sunday night to Friday morning from 8pm to 4:30am. The work will be undertaken in sections in an effort to localize and minimize any impacts.
Route 132/138 will be open to traffic throughout the project. Proper signalization will be placed and an escort vehicle will be leading the traffic through the work zone to ensure everyone’s safety.
Your patience throughout this project is greatly appreciated and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience. If further information is required, please contact the Technical Services Office at (450) 635-1016.
