CP Holiday Train Decorate and Donate gift bags

11/18/2013

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke is pleased to announce that CP Rail is graciously providing ′Decorate & Donate′ shopping bags for this year′s Holiday Train event on Monday, November 25th at Adirondack Junction.

The Decorate & Donate shopping bags are available at Mohawk Market, Dustin′s, the Kahnawą:ke Library and Lafleur′s Meat Market to collect non-perishable food items for the Kahnawą:ke Food Bank. Food and monetary donations will be collected by volunteers at the Holiday Train event. Monetary donations will go to the Kahnawą:ke Christmas Basket Committee.

The Holiday Train is scheduled to arrive at the Adirondack Junction around 6:45pm. There will be half-hour musical show featuring The Claytones, Roxanne Potvin, Willy Porter and Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer Tracey Brown.

To reduce traffic volume in the area, community members are encouraged the use of a free Shuttle Bus service provided. Two buses will depart from the town garage at 5:45pm to bring passengers to the Adirondack Junction and return after the event (see bus route on page 2). Visit www.kahnawake.com for a map of the shuttle bus route.

The CP Holiday Train has raised over $7 million and 3 million pounds of food for local food banks across North America.
