Education, Tobacco, Enbridge on Iroquois Caucus agenda

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that Chiefs Martin Leborgne, Bobby Patton and Billy Diabo will be attending Iroquois Caucus meetings that will be held in Ottawa from Sunday to Tuesday (December 7 to 9).
The main agenda items will be the First Nations Education Act, Tobacco, and Enbridge. Additional topics will be the proposed Free Trade Memorandum of Understanding, the Relationship between the Caucus and the Assembly of First Nations, and an update on the Caucus’ Consultation Policy.
The Iroquois Caucus consists of elected councils from Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne, Kanesatake, Tyendinaga, Six Nations, Wahta, and the Oneidas of the Thames.
