Chiefs meeting with Quebec to improve efficiency of working relationship

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Michael Ahríhron Delisle Jr., Intergovernmental Affairs Portfolio Chief Lloyd Phillips and Mike O’Brien, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Council of Chiefs, are meeting with representatives of the Quebec government today to discuss the efficiency and effectiveness of the political relationship with Quebec.
““There has been a level of frustration in the past several months and it was felt that the message needs to be brought to a higher level,” said Chief Delisle. “We have established protocols with the province and we have an obligation to make sure that they’re working properly. That’s what’s on the agenda today.”
The meeting is taking place in Kahnawà:ke.
