Be cautious of creeks during spring thaw

As a follow-up to the rainfall notice issued earlier today, the Community Protection Unit is also advising community members to be vigilant about staying away from creeks during the spring thaw.

The expected rain coupled with the melt water will increase potential for an unfortunate incident of a person falling through the ice. Parents should ensure that their children are aware of the dangers of the creeks.
