Chief Lloyd Phillips attending three day AFNQL meetings in Quebec City

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform the community that Chief Lloyd Phillips will be in Quebec City today (Tuesday) through Thursday to attend the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec & Labrador Chiefs’ Meetings.

Agenda items include Education (Bill C-33); an update on the Assembly of First Nations national office; use of AFNQL’s portion of Gas Tax class action settlement (monies over and above individual payments); First Nations casino in Quebec; and political relations with Quebec.

Chief Phillips will return to the office on Friday.
