Weekend preparatory work on the Mercier Bridge
06/12/2014
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by both the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) of weekend Mercier Bridge work to prepare for the upcoming ‘Blitz’.
The MTQ will reduce the Montreal-bound side of the bridge to one lane on Saturday, June 14th from 5am until 8pm.
The JCCBI will completely close the 138 access ramp to the bridge (coming from Chateauguay) from Saturday at 5am until Sunday at 6pm. Road users will be detoured to the 132 access ramp (coming from La Prairie).
Motorists can access the Quebec 511 service to obtain up-to-date information on roadwork throughout the region. The service is accessible via telephone by dialing 5-1-1, online at www.quebec511.info or by downloading the application on your mobile device (Apple, Android and other mobile devices).
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
