Iroquois Caucus meeting in Kanesatake - tobacco, education among agenda items

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Chiefs Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton will be attending the Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place in Kanesatake tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday, 3-4 Ohiari�k�:wa/July 2014.

Agenda items include tobacco (Bill C-10); education; border crossing; taxation issues; the upcoming Confederation of Nations meeting and Assembly of First Nations annual general assembly; and the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples.

The Iroquois Caucus consists of the elected Councils of Akwesasne, Kahnaw�:ke, Kanesatake, Six Nations, Tyendinaga, Wahta and the Oneida of the Thames.
