Mercier Bridge Blitz ending, demobilization work this weekend

08/07/2014

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) would like to inform the motorists that The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated will carry out demobilization work on the Mercier Bridge ‘Blitz’ site on Friday and Saturday, August 8th and 9th, respectively.

The entire 138 down ramp heading towards Chateauguay will be completely closed from 10pm Friday until 10am Saturday. A detour via the 132 down ramp will be in effect during this closure.

The bridge is expected to fully re-open, as scheduled, for Monday, August 11th.

Mobile work will also take place during these two days and the beginning of next week to remove road signage.

The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
