Proposed Draft Tobacco Law review period extended

08/08/2014

The Kahnaw:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the Review Period for the draft of the proposed Kahnaw:ke Tobacco Law submitted by the Kahnaw:ke Tobacco Association (KTA) has been extended to 4pm on Friday, August 29, 2014. The document is available to the community for review on-line at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com. Hard copies can also be picked up at the main MCK reception or at the Rainbow Tobacco reception, located on Route 138 in Kahnaw:ke.

The original notice indicated that the deadline for comments was today (August 8, 2014); however, this this did not meet the required minimum of 30 days for feedback. This will correct that oversight and, additionally, give further opportunity to others to give their input and suggestions and ask questions.

Any and all feedback should be directed to MCK Technician Dennis Diabo at 450-632-7500 (dennis.diabo@mck.ca) and/or KTA Technician Peggy Mayo-Standup at 450-635-9253 (peggymayo1954@msn.com). Feedback forms are available on the website.

For more information on the CDMP, please contact: KLCCs Interim Coordinator Leslie Skye at 450-638-5647 (leslie.skye@mck.ca).
