Important Notice - CORRECTION of application deadline for vacant single person rental unit

The Housing Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to correct information from a release issued earlier this week (August 11th). Please note that completed application forms must be submitted to the MCK Housing Department no later than Monday, August 25, 2014 at noon, not September 25, 2014 as has been previously announced.

The MCK regrets the error.

Persons interested in applying for the single person rental unit must fit the following criteria:

• Registered on the Kahnaw�:ke Kanien�keh�:ka Registry
• Single adult � male or female at least 21 years of age
• Income is low or fixed
• Does not currently own a house
• Experiencing challenges that have resulted in the inability to access private rental housing in the community
• Willing to work with MCK Housing in the development of case management plan
• Willing to submit to a security background check
• Willing to pay a rent established by the MCK Social Development Unit Committee
