08/18/2014
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke has been advised by the City of Chateauguay that the Arthur-Laberge Bridge, also known as the ‘Green Bridge’ that connects D’Anjou Boulevard and Principale Street (in Chateauguay) will be closed for rehabilitation from 10pm this evening (August 18th) until June 2015.
Detour routes to access either side of the bridge will be marked in the area. Motorists are urged to use the bridges by the Old Chateauguay Road, the 132 (near Anna Laberge Hospital) or the new Highway 30 crossing.
A daily shuttle will be in operation for pedestrians who normally use the bridge to access school and work within Chateauguay.
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
