09/19/2014
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated that the Mercier Bridge will endure lane closures for two weekends beginning today (Friday) for repair and inspection work.
The closures are scheduled for:
Friday, September 19th at 10pm until Monday, September 22nd at 5am: the Kahnawą:ke-bound side will be completely closed and one lane will be available for each direction on the Montreal-bound side of the bridge. The Airlie access ramp (towards the bridge) will also be closed.
Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th from 6am until midnight on each day: the Kahnawą:ke-bound side of the bridge will be reduced to one lane. The Montreal-bound will remain accessible with two lanes.
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
