Emergency repairs to railroad tracks in South Texas area on Monday

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise community members that Canadian Pacific will be conducting emergency repairs to the railroad tracks at the South Texas crossing. The repairs are described as �urgent� and are scheduled to take place this coming Monday, September 22, 2014 between 7am and 5pm.

The crossing will be closed to traffic during the repair period and traffic will be detoured by Peter Foxy�s road for motorists heading towards Route 207 or alternately towards Indian Way. Arrangements have been made only to allow for the passage of emergency vehicles should the need arise.

Detour signage will be erected on Sunday.

IMPORTANT: Due to time sensitivity, notices will be delivered door-to-door to residents in the affected area.
