Access ramp for 207-138 closed this evening for milling

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to notify the Community of upcoming works on the ramps of Route 138 at Route 207 (see map).  These works are part of the milling and resurfacing of Route 138. The existing road surface of the entrances will be milled and a new layer of asphalt will be installed. 



Work will begin on Wednesday September 24, 2014 and will be completed by Thursday October 02, 2014, weather permitting. These works will be carried out at night to minimize inconvenience to our Community members, and businesses. The work is scheduled to take place from Sunday to Thursday. Working hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 8pm to 4:30am and Thursday from 10:00pm to 4:30am. 

The works will be undertaken in two phases in an effort to localize and minimize any impacts. The ramps scheduled for work will be closed to regular traffic during working hours. Alternative routes will be maintained to accommodate vehicle traffic in both directions.  Proper signalization will be placed to ensure everyone�s safety.
