Justice Act Third (final) Reading set for Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to inform the community that the proposed Kahnaw�:ke Justice System Law (�Justice Act�) will undergo its Third Reading on Wednesday, 12 Kentenhk�:wa/November 2014.

In the Community Decision Making Process, the Third Reading is the formal public �reading of the law into the record.� This will take place at 6pm at the Golden Age Club. The process is expected to take between 90 minutes to two hours.

Once the Third Reading is completed, the proposed legislation will be submitted to Chief & Council for the purpose of being signed into law via a Mohawk Council Resolution.
