MCK issues statement on community meeting called for Sunday morning

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform community members that Chief & Council has been made aware of a meeting regarding the recent lawsuit brought against the MCK to take place on Sunday, November 9th.

The MCK wishes to make clear that this meeting is being organized by a group of concerned community members and not by the MCK. This meeting should not be confused with the MCK’s regular seasonal Community Meetings.

While the MCK is not organizing the event, it reminds Kahnawa’kehró:non to please be respectful on this matter and remain patient while the legal proceedings take place.
