Tip leads to arrest of attempted murder suspect

The suspect wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a Chateauguay resident has been arrested.
The Kahnawake Peacekeepers received a tip concerning the suspect’s location, which led to the arrest of 36-year-old François Theoret-Proulx. He was taken into custody without incident by the Sûreté du Québec’s Emergency Response Team in Rawdon, Quebec at approximately 10:00 am on November 6, 2014.
Theoret-Proulx faces numerous charges stemming from an incident that occurred on the Territory in the early morning hours on November 2, 2014, as well as additional charges in connection with his arrest.
The suspect is expected to appear in Longueil Court today.
