12/17/2014
The Sports & Recreation Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce that tickets for the February 6th, 2015 fundraising event featuring the Montreal Canadiens Alumni versus the Kahnawà:ke All-Stars go on sale at 9am TODAY.
General admission tickets are $20, while VIP tickets are available at $50 each. They are available at the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex and Dustin’s Convenience. Chief Carl Horn is selling tickets and can be reached at 514-913-4313. Additionally, all Kahnawà:ke players have tickets for sale.
Those who purchase VIP tickets will be able to ‘meet and greet’ the players before the game. Among those who have confirmed their participation are Kitigan Zibi Native John Chabot, former captain Guy Carbonneau, Stanley Cup-winning defenseman Gaston Gingras, goalie Richard Sevigny and Chris ‘Knuckles’ Nilan.
“This is a pretty exciting day,” said Chief Horn. “As we stated earlier, we are hoping to raise upwards of $30,000 for the construction of a children’s park in honor of the late Orville Standup. Since our sponsors have been very generous, we’re proud to guarantee that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the project.”
“These tickets make great stocking stuffers,” he concluded. “Just in time for Christmas!”
