Curb side pick-up for Christmas trees set for Thursday, January 22, 2015

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) is pleased to announce that curbside Christmas tree collection services will be provided to the community on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Trees will be picked up and brought to the Transfer Depot.

To ensure that your tree is picked up:

�    Please make certain that all decorations have been removed
�    Please make certain that the tree does not freeze in the snow bank
�    Place near the curbside by 7am on the specified date

Please note that a bin will be made available at the Transfer Depot as of January 5th for tree drop off.

This service is being provided as part of KEPO�s Community Waste Reduction Plan.  Collected trees will be transported to a composting facility, rather than a landfill site.
