Reminder - Kahnaw�:ke-bound lane closures this weekend on Mercier Bridge

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to remind road users that the Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec will completely close both Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge this weekend for repairs to the structural elements.

The closure will take place from Friday, February 6th at 11pm until Monday, February 9th at 5am. During this time, there will be no traffic flow towards the south shore. Both Montreal-bound lanes will remain fully open.
 
This one way configuration is necessary in case of bad weather and will facilitate safe snow removal and de-icing operations. These operations cannot be properly performed with contraflow traffic because the width of the lanes is not adequate for snow removal vehicles.

Other lane closures might be necessary for similar work in the coming weeks.

The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
