Grand Chief meeting with Qu�bec Native Affairs Minister today

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hron Delisle, Jr. will be meeting with Qu�bec Native Affairs Minister Geoff Kelley today. Intergovernmental Portfolio Chief Lloyd Phillips and Chief of Staff Mike O�Brien will also be in attendance.

�There are a number of critical issues we need to speak about,� said Grand Chief Delisle. �Our relationship with Qu�bec has been productive and, at this point, we feel that the relationship needs to be reinforced on certain files due to uncertainty from some ministries.�

�Meeting face-to-face is always the preferred method of communication and Minister Kelley has always made himself available when possible,� concluded the Grand Chief.

The meeting will take place at the MCK.
