Reminder of Mercier Bridge closures Saturday and Sunday
04/24/2015
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to remind road users that the Ministère des Transports du Québec will reduce the Kahnawà:ke-bound side of the Mercier Bridge to one lane on both Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th from 6am until 10pm.
During this time, only one Kahnawà:ke-bound lane will be accessible. However, both Montreal-bound lanes will be available.
Additionally, the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated will close the entire Montreal-bound Route 138 up-ramp (from Chateauguay) on Saturday from 6am until 3pm for maintenance work. Motorists will be detoured to the 138 service road towards Route 132 to utilize the up-ramp coming from La Prairie.
The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
