Dwayne Kirby officially appointed as Electoral Officer for 2015 MCK Elections

The Executive Director�s Office of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to announce that Dwayne Kirby was formally appointed as Electoral Officer for the 2015 MCK Elections through a voting process at a special Community Meeting held on Saturday, 25 Oneraht�kha/April 2015 at the Golden Age Club.
 
The three (3) candidates were Darlene Alfred, Dwayne Kirby and Timmy Norton. All had met the eligibility requirements under section 6.1 of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law to be appointed as Electoral Officer. The results were as follows:

Dwayne Kirby: 108 votes
Darlene Alfred: 50 votes
Timmy Norton: 19 votes

A total of 178 ballots were cast, with 1 ballot spoiled. 

The Electoral Officer is responsible to perform all duties pertaining to the 2015 MCK Elections as set out in the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law.
