Updated schedule of weekend closures for Mercier Bridge

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform road users that the Ministère des Transport du Quebec (MTQ) and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) have updated the work schedule of Mercier Bridge closures beginning at 10pm Friday (tonight), May 8th until Monday, May 11th with the following:

Friday at 10pm - Monday at 5am: both Montreal and Kahnawà:ke-bound sides will be reduced to one lane in each direction for rehabilitation preparation work on steel structure by JCCBI.
Friday at 10pm – Saturday at 10pm:The Montreal-bound 132 up-ramp (from La Prairie) will be closed by JCCBI. Detour by Route 138.
Sunday at 8pm – Monday at 4:30am: The Montreal-bound 132 up-ramp (from La Prairie) will be closed by the MTQ. Detour by Route 138.
• Additional inspection and cleaning works are being carried out by the MTQ. However, the works will coincide with existing JCCBI closures

Additionally, the access ramp connecting Route 138 to westbound Highway 20 (towards Dorval) will be completely closed by the MTQ between Friday at 11:59pm to Monday at 5am.

The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
