Peacekeepers announce charges in landfill fraud case

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers announced today that charges were laid on May 21, 2015, in the case of alleged fraud that took place within the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke landfill operations.

In December 2013, the Peacekeepers received information of the alleged fraud and began a seventeen (17) month investigation.  As a result of that investigation, Ronald Jacobs, 44 and Jeffrey Jacobs, 28, have been charged with Fraud Over $5,000.00 and Forgery, both of which are indictable.

Their first court appearance is set for Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
