Iroquois Caucus meets in Akwesá:sne this week

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Grand Chief Joe Norton and Chief Gina Deer will be attending the Iroquois Caucus meetings being held this week in Akwesá:sne on Wednesday and Thursday, 29 and 30 Ohiarihkó:wa/ July.

Agenda items include Canada’s C-10 ‘Anti-Contraband’ Tobacco legislation; Economic/Taxation/Education Summits; Enbridge Pipeline Reversal issues; Border Crossing; and Free Trade.

The Iroquois Caucus consists of the elected Councils from Akwesá:sne, Kahnawà:ke, Kanehsatà:ke, Six Nations, Tyendinaga, Wahta, and the Oneida of the Thames.
