Advisory Lifted: Water near Onake now safe for use

The Community Protection Unit (CPU) and Environmental Health Services (EHS) are informing the community that the advisory notice of unsafe water near the Onake Paddling Club has been lifted.

Two sets of water samples carried out by EHS have shown that coliform bacteria levels are well below the guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality and deemed safe for use.

EHS will continue to monitor the area and carry out additional water samples until September.
