Complete Montreal-bound closure of Mercier Bridge overnight Friday

08/19/2015

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform road users that the Ministère des Transports du Québec will completely close the Montreal-bound side of the Mercier Bridge on the morning of Saturday, August 22nd from 1am to 6am.

During this 5 hour short-term closure, there will be no Montreal-bound access. The complete closure is required to carry out permanent marking work on the Monette overpass on the Lasalle side of the Mercier Bridge.

The Kahnawà:ke-bound side of the Mercier Bridge will not be affected by this closure.

Motorists wanting to gain access to the island of Montreal during this time will need to utilize the Champlain or Jacques Cartier Bridges.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
