Tioweró:ton Policy & Procedures now online

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that a 30 day review period begins today for the revised Tioweró:ton Policy & Procedures. The document is available for public viewing at www.kahnawake.com/tioweroton . 

Some of the major document changes from the previous policy are:
    • The document has been divided into two sections; Policy & Procedures
    • Application Process – Three Step Approval
    • Construction Practices – Allowing for Concrete Footings
    • Cabin Owner Responsibilities
    • Sales of Cabins

Feedback can be submitted by email to tara.mccomber@mck.ca. or in person at the Lands Unit office by Friday, September 18th at 4pm.

The Draft Tioweró:ton Policy & Procedures were approved by the Tioweró:ton Committee on April 29, 2015 and approved by Kahnawà:ke Chief & Council on May 19, 2015.
