Community invited to attend Tree Planting Ceremony for Truth & Reconciliation on Monday

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that Chief Christine Zachary-Deom will be representing the MCK on Monday (21, Seskehk�:wa/ September) at a Tree Planting Ceremony to commemorate the Truth & Reconciliation Commission.

Organizers are extending an invitation to any community members who wish to attend the event, which will be taking place at the Parish of St. Philip Church in Montreal West at 5pm (3400 Connaught Avenue, 514-481-4871 for details or directions)

A birch tree will be planted to symbolize truth, new beginnings and cleansing of the past. There will be activities for the children and a reception for the guests.

The event is being organized by the Anglican Church of Canada Archdiocese of Montreal.
