MCK launches Grand Chief�s podcast

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to announce the launch of Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton�s podcast, to be made available by accessing the MCK website.

Entitled �The Corner Office: Chatting with the Grand Chief,� the podcast will be presented in an interview format and will feature Mr. Norton discussing the important issues of the day. It is intended to be a reference tool for the Community to understand the rationale behind the Grand Chief�s direction, as well as for the media to obtain quotes.

Due to the Grand Chief�s busy schedule, the podcasts will be periodic, depending on the issues, with no set release dates. However, there�s more than enough subject matter to keep each episode both interesting and informative. The interviews won�t be rushed or limited in length.

Recorded on September 15th, the first podcast features an in depth discussion on the current situation regarding the Highway 30 lands, including an update on the Boycott of Chateauguay businesses, a very positive meeting with provincial officials and related matters.

All Grand Chief Podcasts will be archived online for future reference and the MCK will inform the media and the Community when each new podcast is ready.
