The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Tsitewaháhara′n Center and the Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office are pleased to announce an innovative new project to develop a Traditional Medicine Garden being funded by the TD Friends of the Environment.
This collaborative effort will serve both departments’ mutually beneficial needs by sharing the space. “The possibilities are almost endless on ways that we can both share and benefit from this garden,” said Language and Culture Training Program General Manager Chera Warisó:se Lahache. “We’re pleased that we’ve found a willing partner to allow us to move forward with this excellent project that will have a great benefit for not only our program, but for the entire community.”
The Garden will be located in the back yard of the Training Center.
