Lengthy agenda for Kahnawake, Quebec Main Table meeting

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton, Intergovernmental Portfolio Chief Rhonda Kirby, Chief of Staff Mike O�Brien, Project Leader Winona Polson-Lahache and Legal Services� Jean Pommainville are in Quebec City today for a Central Table meeting with representatives of the Quebec government.

The agenda is extensive and is expected to take the entire day. The items are as follows:

1.    Update on status of meeting between Grand Chief Norton and Premier Philippe Couillard
2.    Update on Transfer of Highway 30 Lands
3.    Economic Development table update
4.    Social & Family Services table update
5.    Discussion on Trade and Commerce
6.    Justice update
7.    Consultation Processes update
8.    Labor table update

Grand Chief Norton is also planning to address the First Nations Winery legal issues that have arisen in recent weeks.

Another Central Table meeting will be scheduled for early November to address transport-related issues.
