Reminder - Membership Law meetings resume this Thursday evening

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to remind Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the next meeting on proposed amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law will be held this Thursday, 12 Kentenhk�:wa/November 2015 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, from 6pm to 8:30pm.
The agenda is as follows:
- Section 7, the Approved Kahnaw�:ke Resident List. This section establishes that there will be a list, which is being renamed from the former �Non-Member Resident List.� The amendments being proposed in this section are only minor. Please note that this is NOT the section that sets out who is eligible to be on the list � this will be covered in Section 15, which will be addressed in a future meeting.
- Section 8, Council of Elders. It is being recommended that this section be deleted, as per the direction given by the community.
- Section 4, Definitions (on-going). Any related definitions from the meeting�s agenda.
Consensus has been reached on the first six sections (with the exception of Section 4, which is on-going throughout the process). This is the fourth meeting of the current phase (technically entitled �First Hearing�), which commenced on April 14th of this year.
