New project will address Peacekeepers parking and impound issues

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that work is underway to build a new impound facility for the Kahnawake Peacekeepers. The project will also include additional parking for visitors, which addresses a long-standing problem.
The additional parking and impound lot will be located on common land at the lot between the Peacekeepers station and the K103 Building.
The total cost of the project is approximately $60,000 and is being carried out by the MCK’s Capital Unit.
