MCK provides online gaming update

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that Chief & Council have formally approved the contract for Dean Montour as the Chief Executive Officer of Mohawk Online, the company formed by the MCK to operate the online gaming site known as Sports Interaction.

�This is another step in the process that will see Kahnaw�:ke benefit directly from online gaming operations in the near future,� said Gaming Portfolio Chief Gina Deer. �We expect to make some major announcements on this matter in the New Year.�

�Mr. Montour is the former Chairperson of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and is well-known and respected throughout the online gaming industry,� she added. �He brings knowledge, integrity, and experience to this key position. We are especially pleased that, being from Kahnaw�:ke, he will possess the perspective that could only be viewed as extremely positive for us.�

Sports Interaction has been a licensee of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission since 1999. Licensing, outsourcing and related agreements were signed earlier this year after many months of negotiations.
