Waste Management Plan consultation results presentation

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke’s Environment Protection Office wishes to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non that it is holding a meeting tonight to present results compiled from community consultations on the proposed Kahnawà:ke Waste Management Plan (the Plan), which took place in November and December, 2015.

The meeting takes place at the Golden Age Club from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

The Plan is based on Kahnawà:ke’s long-standing objectives to reduce waste, improve efficiency in its recycling program and increase composting initiatives.

The Plan includes an extensive summary of the Environment Office’s current projects and their related costs, as well as its future plans.
