Chiefs attending AFNQL meetings in Wendake

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK)  wishes to advise the community that Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton, Chief Rhonda Kirby and Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache will be attending the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec & Labrador (AFNQL) Chiefs� Assembly being held in Wendake today and tomorrow.

Among the agenda items are the following:

• Political relations with Qu�bec
• Fiscal and taxation issues
• AFNQL Election Report
• Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women
• Update on police investigations on allegations against the S�ret� du Quebec at Val d�Or
• Political relations with Canada, upcoming meeting with Minister of Indigenous & Northern Affairs Carolyn Bennett
• Youth issues
• Housing file update
