Land Allotment Policy amendments available for viewing online

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform all Kahnawa′kehr�:non that the Land Allotment Policy (Policy) is currently in the amendment phase and is now available for viewing online at www.kahnawake.com for community feedback.
 
Major changes to the Policy include:

• The Administrator is given more decision authority for applications. Currently it is the Land Allotment Committee.  This will be more time efficient.
• The Land Allotment Committee will be replaced with the Land Management Committee. Whatever decision is out of scope for the Administrator, will go to Land Management Committee for approval. 
• The MCK Housing inspector role has been added to the policy.
• The entire document has been reformatted and reworded for clarity.
